CONTACT LENSES

There are many new options available to patients who would like to wear contact lenses. At the time of your eye examination we will evaluate your eyes and determine which type of contact lens will best suit your individual needs. Your doctor will recommend a contact lens program which includes your diagnostic contact lenses and professional services. We prescribe all major brands of soft and rigid contact lenses.  

In addition, we prescribe custom designed contact lenses for special needs.Our technicians are able to answer many of your questions and are available for ongoing contact lens instruction and training.  We have vast experience with cosmetic considerations such as colored contacts that change eye color completely or slightly enhance eye color.

Our very own Dr. Marc Nelson was part of a selective group of optometrists invited to the Bausch & Lomb meeting announcing, ULTRA, a new contact lens.
ULTRA, manufactured using MoistureSeal technology, yields a contact lens with high oxygen transmissibility and low modulus. ULTRA is a monthly replacement lens with excellent ocular comfort. Dryness and end-of-day comfort has long been the major impediments to contact lens wear. The lens contains four times the amount of PVP than other silicone hydrogels, which results in increased water retention, and features a smooth and durable lens surface with a thin edge, all of which result in greater comfort.

Dr. Nelson is the first in our area to offer these exciting new lens to his patients.
